House Training

Overview

The Fire Safety Order 2005 requires all employers to ensure that all their staff receives adequate fire safety training. This half-day program has been designed specifically to help employers comply with their legal obligation. We also provide hazardous management course.

The course has been run for many different organizations, including private and public sector bodies of all sizes.

It is presented by a highly qualified former fire officer, with more than twenty years' experience in the Fire Service. The presentation style is informal, lively and interactive.

Audience

Designed for staff at all levels, the course can be adjusted to suit the requirements of specific organizations, premises or course participants.

Format

This is a half-day course based on a study pack (which will be issued to each participant) and guidance material, in addition to formal trainer input.

Special features

The course can be tailored to take account of specific features of your premises, if required.

If required, this course can be modified to include a session on the safe use of fire extinguishers. This would be an additional hour-long session be held at the end of the course (at no extra charge, provided that the client can supply the necessary equipment). Whilst the main course could accommodate 12 participants, the additional session would need to be limited to 8 participants.

The expert trainer

Alan has more than twenty years' experience in the Fire Service. He has a wealth of operational and training experience, both in Local Authority and in private Fire Services. A highly experienced fire risk assessor and fire safety trainer, he specializes in breathing apparatus, confined spaces, casualty extrication, manual handling and fire-fighting instruction. He attended the Fire Service College and has more than five years fire safety consulting experience, including the implementation of the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations. Qualifications include: Fire Service trainer (fire safety, breathing apparatus, rescue and firefighting), Fire Safety Inspecting Officer.
